Large parts of Vietnam are still contaminated and even small amounts of dioxin affect metabolism and cell division”. The serious consequences of the Viet Nam war have still not been overcome. The genetic material of many Vietnamese is long term damage, food chain and soils are contaminated with TCDD. Birth defects, infertility and diseases such as cancer, heart and vascular diseases are late and long term effects of the toxin agent orange. More than three million Vietnamese are victims of the toxin and the number is rising.
